Henrik Schwarz and the Alma Quartet
Internationally renowned music producer and composer Henrik Schwarz is known for his eclectic musical approach to composition and sound design. As a producer and performer, he has successfully struck a balance between electronic music, classical and jazz, and between energetic, highly charged dance sets at large techno events and performances in concert halls with seated audiences.
Formed in 2014 by four members of the Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Alma Quartet quickly gained a reputation as one of the most exciting ensembles in the Netherlands. The quartet plays a classical repertoire, but also enjoys collaborating with artists of other genres. They played together with Henrik Schwarz and Bugge Wesseltoft during Amsterdam Dance Event.
The Alma Quartet and Henrik Schwarz released their album CCMYK in summer 2019. Part of their new album was recorded at the Prince Claus Conservatoire studio.
The Alma Quartet also gave a master class to the strings of the classical department.
