Jury report
“Roser is the ideal ambassador of the piccolo. During the final, she showed the versatility and virtuoso possibilities of the instrument in both early and new music. With her warm sound she enchanted the audience and showed that the piccolo, often seen as a typical orchestral instrument, also comes into its own as a solo instrument,” said the jury.
The professional jury consisted of chairman Daria van den Bercken (pianist), Lilian Farahani (soprano), Michiel Wittink (violist and programmer Concertgebouw), Kenne Peters (programmer Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ) and Leonard Besseling (secretary and programmer Grachtenfestival).
