ESNS Songwriting Speed Date Sessions, Vol. 7

On Friday 17 January 2025, the annual ESNS Songwriting Speed Date Sessions will take place during Eurosonic Noorderslag. Successful songwriters collaborate with students to write songs in one day.

In teams, students from the Prince Claus Conservatoire, Minerva Popular Culture and NLA University College (Oslo) write a song in one day together with six established songwriters! This year, the students are working with writers Emiel de Nennie, Maurice van Hoek, Marta Arpini, Simon Gitsels, Jadi D, and Adama Jamlo. The result can be heard in a live showcase at the Jazz Club in the Prince Claus Conservatoire at 5pm. The live showcase is free to attend, everyone is welcome to come hear the work of a new generation of songwriters.

It is a wonderful opportunity for the students to collaborate with professional songwriters. For the songwriters, their agents and publishers, this is a unique way to discover a new generation of musical talents. They can pitch the songs resulting from the writing sessions within their networks, giving students a chance to showcase their work on an international level.
