Embrace Nederland

The lectureship of the Prince Claus Conservatoire has developed the Master Module ‘Music and Healthcare’ in collaboration with Philip Curtis, artistic director of Embrace Netherlands and guest lecturer at the PCC.

This optional module consists of 10 preparatory lessons, followed by an eight-week internship in which students participate in the Music and Dementia, Palliative Care or Home Music Care programme. Students can then work in practice at Embrace Netherlands.

Embrace Netherlands wants to enthuse conservatoire students to also think about a portfolio career as musicians on behalf of vulnerable people. Especially in that sector, the use of music produces very valuable results.

Westerbork Memorial Centre

The Westerbork Memorial Centre and the Prince Claus Conservatoire will collaborate until 2029 with the aim of developing musical forms of remembrance. The Research Centre Art & Society is involved as a research partner from the arts. Through this collaboration, the parties acknowledge the importance of telling and passing down stories from the past to future generations in an artistic and contemporary way. They see a key role in this for musicians, artists, and arts educators.
